Virtual Digital Assets (VDA)

Digital assets such as cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and similar tokens are taxed at a flat rate of 30% under Section 115BBH, with no deductions (except cost of acquisition) and no set-off of losses allowed.

Example: ₹2 lakh gain on cryptocurrency → taxed at 30% = ₹60,000.
