Venture Capital Fund (VCF)

An investment fund that provides capital to startups or early-stage companies with high growth potential. Income earned by a registered VCF is exempt under section 10(23FB), while investors are taxed on distributed income as per section 115U.

Example: ₹2 lakh capital gains received from a registered venture capital fund is tax-exempt at the fund level.
