Trading Platform

Tax Glossary Definition

Trading Platform

A trading platform is a digital interface—usually provided by a broker—that lets users connect to financial markets and carry out trades. These platforms typically include tools like streaming price data, charting functions, order-entry systems, market updates, and research utilities. Access is often included as part of a brokerage account, sometimes at no extra cost if certain account conditions are met.

Example: An investor logs in to Zerodha’s Kite app to track real-time movements in TCS shares, study the price chart, and submit a buy order directly through the platform.
