Tax Refund

The repayment issued by the Income Tax Department when the taxes paid in advance—such as through TDS or advance tax—are greater than the final tax due for the year.

Example: If TDS totals ₹50,000 but your final tax comes to ₹45,000, you are entitled to a refund of ₹5,000.
