Section 80D Deduction

A tax benefit available for premiums paid toward health insurance policies covering the taxpayer, their family, or parents. The deduction is allowed up to the limits prescribed under the Income Tax Act, 1961, depending on the age of the insured persons.

Example: A premium of ₹25,000 paid for health insurance covering self and family can be claimed as a deduction under Section 80D.
