Residuary income refers to income that does not fall under the specific heads of income like Salary, Business/Profession, or House Property. Such income is generally taxable under the head “Income from Other Sources.”

Example: Dividends, lottery winnings, or gifts exceeding ₹50,000 are considered residuary income and taxed under Other Sources
