NITI Aayog

NITI Aayog, established in 2015 as the successor to the Planning Commission, serves as the central government’s strategic and analytical body for policymaking. It aims to support balanced, sustainable growth by fostering cooperation between the Union and the States. Instead of relying on directive-based planning, NITI Aayog emphasizes research-driven, consultative approaches. It develops long-term policy frameworks, reviews the progress of government initiatives, promotes innovation in governance, and facilitates the sharing of successful models. It also collaborates with international institutions to bring global expertise into national planning.
