NDNC Registry

The constant intrusion of marketing and unsolicited calls from telemarketers promoting various products and services can be bothersome. In 2007, the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) introduced the National Do Not Call (NDNC) Registry for individuals seeking relief from such calls. The NDNC registry serves as a database of phone numbers that have opted out of receiving telemarketing calls. It is mandatory for all telemarketers in India, including banks, insurance companies, and other businesses, to consult the NDNC registry before initiating any calls and honour the preferences of the consumers.
