Businesses with turnover exceeding the specified threshold must obtain GST registration and display the GSTIN on invoices and official documents.

Example: A company registered in Maharashtra with PAN ABCDE1234F might have the GSTIN 27ABCDE1234F1Z5, where “27” denotes the state code for Maharashtra.
