Fully Convertible Debenture (FCD) – A type of debt instrument that can be entirely converted into equity shares of the issuing company at a pre-decided time and conversion rate, allowing investors to shift from being lenders to part-owners.

Example: An FCD issued today may be converted into equity shares after 3 years from the date of issue
