Tax Glossary Definition
Force of Attraction Force of Attraction is the natural pull or attraction that one object exerts on another due to their mass, charge, or molecular interaction. It is a fundamental concept in physics that governs how objects interact in nature, whether at the gravitational, electromagnetic, or atomic level. The most common example is gravitational attraction, where every mass in the universe attracts every other mass with a force directly proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them — as described by Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation.
Example: The Earth attracts the Moon through gravitational force, keeping the Moon in orbit. Similarly, objects fall to the ground because of the Earth’s force of attraction (gravity).
