EKharid is an online procurement and trading platform launched by the Government of Haryana (India). IndiaFilings+1
It is designed to facilitate the transparent and efficient sale of farmers’ agricultural produce directly to buyers (traders, processors, government agencies, etc.)..

Example of eKharid in Action

1. Farmer Registration & Produce Details

   • Raju, a wheat farmer in Haryana, registers on eKharid with his Aadhaar, bank account, and land records.

   • He uploads details about his wheat crop — how much he has harvested, its quality, and when he plans to sell.

2. Gate Pass Generation

   • Using the eKharid mobile app, Raju generates a mandi gate pass for the day he plans to bring his wheat to the mandi. Haryana Khabri+2Magzter+2

   • The gate pass has a QR code. When he arrives at the mandi, the gatekeeper scans this QR code to let him in. The Tribune+1

3. Auction / Bidding

   • At the mandi, his wheat is auctioned electronically via eKharid. Buyers (traders or government agencies) bid on the crop, giving Raju a transparent price-discovery mechanism.

   • Since it's digital, details like the farmer’s credentials, quantity, and buyer’s identity are recorded. The Economic Times

4. Payment
